VETA SA was founded in 1967 in Kiou 6, in Nea Ionia ,Athens, processing and trading second hand metals. 

In 1984, VETA introduced the first saw for metals with the unique for the time, cutting capability of cutting a single unit up to 1000x3000x6000mm.

In 2000, VETA inaugurates a new facility in Aharnes, Athens, following the Sindos Plant in Thessaloniki, covering a total indoor space of 20,000sqm. At the same time, the first laser cutting machine is in operation. Since then 16 laser cutting machines, have been added in the laser cutting portfolio, either for metal sheets or tubes.

In 2002, the company installed the first of the 3 water jet cutting machines, providing our clientele with a series of new capabilities. The next year VETA is certified with the international standard EN ISO9001: 2000

In 2007, VETA extended its manufacturing services providing and offering welding services , as well as an Electrostatic Powder Coating line.

In 2009, VETA is expanding its subcontracting services by offering assembly, digital printing and packaging

In 2012, VETA is certified with the environmental ISO 14000 and health and safety certificate Ohsas 18001.

In 2014, a further 3 year investment plan is put into effect mainly in the upgrade of hardware equipment exceeding 8,5 million €

In 2016 VETA  installed the last machines of its investment plan, having reached 51 cutting-edge CNC machines.

In 2017 VETA launches its complete VETA CHECKOUTS PROJECT, a fully integrated, end-to-end business unit covering the entire spectrum of Super Market Checkout products.Launched products have been express,self checkouts up to large cash n carry systems.
